I. CONCEPT
The International Family Fair will be held in the setting of the 5th World Meeting of the Families.
The Church does not only express the conceptual framework of “the theory” about marriage and the family, but above all, it wants to show what it “does” in the whole world, to unite and diffuse the gift of the family as a community of life and love and as a source of human joy.
It is about offering Associations, Organisations and Entities that work for the family in all the world, the opportunity of having a place to show their identity, activities, projects and experience. II. PLACE AND DATES The International Family Fair will be held at the grounds of “Feria Valencia”, where important international meetings are held to offer and exchange goods and services. It will start on Saturday 1st July 2006 and will finish on Friday 7th July. III. EXHIBITORS As it is being held in the setting of the 5th World Meeting of the Families, convened by the Pope, the International Fair is mainly intended for Associations, Foundations, Entities and Organisations that are linked to the Christian world. But the family is a social, public item: it is a natural fact. Therefore, non denominational Associations, Foundations, Entities and Organisations that work for the family anywhere in the world can also participate, and they are invited to do so. The Conditions of this international meeting, which will be published shortly, list the requirements that participants must have. IV. VISITORS All those wishing to participate in the 5th World Meeting of the Families are also invited. Parishes, Schools, Associations and Movements. Grandparents and young people especially, so that they visit the Fair and enjoy what it has to offer. And all families, who will find a place suitable to spend the day, in which all their needs will be taken care of: a nursery service, restaurants, restplaces, etc... V. CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION OF NON-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS 1.-Concept.- The International Family Fair will run from 1st to 7th July 2006 in the “Feria Valenciana” and is being held within the setting of the 5th World Meeting of the Families. Its aim is to offer associations, organisations and entities all over the world that work for the family the opportunity of having a place to show their identity, activities, projects and experiences. 2.- Legal characteristics of participating organisations.- In keeping with their legal status, all kinds of organisations (foundations, associations and civil organisations) can participate in the event, having been officially recognised civilly or by religious authorities. This is a condition of participation sine qua non. It is also a requirement that the participating entity supports the institution of the Family. 3. - Non-profit.- It is equally a condition sine qua non of participation that the applying entity is non-profit.
4.- Description of its characteristics: Size, social target, and geographical area of activity. – The application should include a brief but precise description of the organisation, outlining its size, main activities and geographical area. 5.- Organisations and/or associations who act in favour of the Family.- In the case that the applying organisation is involved in projects in favour of the family together with other organisations or associations, please provide the names of these other organisations. 6.- Acceptance or rejection of applications: The Committee of the Family Fair will decide on the acceptance or otherwise of the applications, based upon the pre-established Conditions of the Fair. The Committee’s decision is final. VI. CONDITIONS FOR THE ADMISSION OF BUSINESSES 1.- Concept.- The International Family Fair will run from 1st to 7th July 2006 in the “Feria Valenciana” and is being held within the setting of the 5th World Meeting of the Families. Its aim is to offer associations, organisations and entities all over the world that work for the family the opportunity of having a place to show their identity, activities, projects and experiences. 2.- Legal characteristics of participating organisations. – In keeping with their legal status, within the section of Businesses, any organisation which has been officially recognised civilly or by religious authorities. 3.- Participating businesses – The rules are directed at and applicable to organisations such as micro, small, medium and large businesses. 4.- Acceptance or rejection of applications: The Committee of the Family Fair will decide on the acceptance or otherwise of the applications, based upon the pre-established Conditions of the Fair. The Committee’s decision is final. Please note: By micro, small and medium businesses, it is understood that they conform to the following requirements - Businesses with fewer than 250 employees.
- Businesses whose annual turnover does not exceed €50 million.
- Businesses whose net worth does not exceed €43 millon.
VII. LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION Level 1. Non-profit organisations - 8m2 stand
Inscription fee: €600
Level 2. Micro, small and medium businesses - 12m2 stand
Inscription fee: €1500
Level 3. Large businesses - 32m2 stand
Inscription fee: €60,000
Level 4. Sponsors - Sponsor 1: 30.000 €
